It is with profound sadness that the Outland and Williams’ families announce the calling from labor to rest of our beloved relative, Arthur L. Outland. This sad event occurred on Monday, April 13, 2020, in Providence, Rhode Island, USA

He was born on January 28, 1950 unto Mr. Joseph L. Outland, Sr. and Miss Etta Richards in the township of Virginia, Liberia. He obtained his primary and secondary education from the following institutions of learning: Lott Carey Mission, Booker Washington Institute and Monrovia College respectively. He was a devoted husband, father and dependable family man who always stayed in touch or extended a helping hand to his extended relatives and friends.

Arthur was a committed Christian and a member in good standing at Calvary Baptist Church in Providence, Rhode Island. In his professional life, he was a well-respected machinist in the seventies and eighties. In the nineties, Arthur was an entrepreneur and successfully operated an auto detailing shop where he employed local teenagers including his family’s children. In the twenty hundreds, he devoted his professional life to social work providing care for those with special needs. Socially, Arthur was a fashionista, disc jockey, fantastic dancer, and the life of the party.

His parents predeceased Arthur: Mr. Joseph L. Outland, Sr. and Mrs. Annie Thorpe-Outland as well as his biological mother Miss Etta Richards. Arthur is survived by his wife, Emertine Williams-Outland, six children; Artina, Alvin, Monique, Lancelot, Emery Outland and Nicole Outland; seventeen grandchildren, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.

A funeral service is scheduled for April 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
